Amazon Web Services

Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers a range of powerful analytics services that enable businesses to collect, process, store, analyse, and visualise large volumes of data on a pay-as-you-go basis. Launched in 2006, it’s the most established of the three providers and is by far the most popular solution, with over 33% share of the cloud computing market. If you’re looking for a scalable, reliable and secure solution, with great AI and ML capabilities, then AWS is a great option for you.

Microsoft Azure

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service for building, testing, deploying and managing applications and services through Microsoft managed data centres. Sitting at 21% market share, Azure is the second most popular cloud vendor of the three, and, as expected, it integrates easily with other products within the Microsoft tech stack. Another great benefit of Azure is the relatively low barrier to entry, being less developer-focused than the other cloud platforms.

Google Cloud Platform

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a suite of cloud computing services that runs on the same infrastructure that supports Google Search, Gmail and YouTube. It‘ll therefore come as no surprise that GCP offers seamless integration with other Google products (Google Marketing Platform especially), so is a great option if you’re already using multiple solutions within the Google stack. GCP also includes BigQuery, a fully-managed cloud-based data warehousing and analytics service.

Qlik Sense

Qlik Sense has a full range of AI capabilities, which is great if you’re wanting to take your insights to the next level. Their unique data engine also enables users to really drill down into the data and explore it from any angle. Qlik is also a great option if you’re wanting to scale up as there are no additional or hidden costs.

However, its range of visualisations are limited in comparison to competitors, and it doesn’t support the programming languages R and Python.

Tableau

Tableau is one of the longest running visualisation tools, and as a result, offers an impressive suite of interactive visualisations and can handle vast amounts of data.

One of the great things about Tableau is its strong community – they essentially offer a public forum where you can ask Tableau-related questions and collaborate with other users.

However, Tableau is predominantly a visualisation tool so if you’re looking for a platform that will also clean and process your data then Tableau isn’t the best option. It can also be quite expensive to scale up usage within an organisation.

Looker

Recently acquired by Google, Looker users can expect more and more integrations available with Google’s data stack as they focus their investment on developing this new and improved visualisation tool. One of the first steps is incorporating the widely used Google Data Studio (now called Looker Studio).

Looker also has the ability to connect to multiple data sources and enables straightforward self-service analytics, however it is typically more expensive than some of its competitors.

Power BI

Power BI is likely to be the best option for you if you’re already using programmes within the Microsoft stack, like Azure, Microsoft cloud environment, or Excel, as you can seamlessly integrate these platforms.

It’s also very easy to get started with, especially if you’re familiar with other parts of the Microsoft stack, so therefore it’s relatively straight-forward for non-data teams to use.

Power BI is probably the most cost-effective visualisation tool on the market. Its desktop version is free to use, and the cost to upgrade to the online services is very cost-effective compared to competitors.

What is the cost of Ipsos Jarmany’s services?

The cost of Ipsos Jarmany’s services varies based on the scale of support you need, the type of challenge you need solving and the duration of the project. We will need to have an initial consultation with you to better understand your needs before providing a quote.

How does Ipsos Jarmany protect data?

We take network and data security extremely seriously at Ipsos Jarmany. We are a certified ISO 27001:2013 company, which means Ipsos Jarmany demonstrates an ability to efficiently handle confidential customer data through robustly managed processes.

ISO 27001 is the international standard for Information Security. The standard is awarded to companies that have proved they have an effective management system in place to deal with their own and third parties’ sensitive information.

The management system is a “systematic approach to managing confidential or sensitive corporate information so that it remains secure.” Companies, like Ipsos Jarmany, that deal with large volumes of data – both ours and yours – need to have a system in place that guarantees we can ensure your information is always secure. These systems have been assessed annually against a rigorous set of requirements by UKAS-accredited auditors as well as by our clients themselves.

How will Ipsos Jarmany help me to visualise my data?

At Ipsos Jarmany, we appreciate that different stakeholders require specific insights from the data. That is why we are able to build customised dashboards to help users extract the data and insights that are relevant to them and their needs. We work with programmes like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik and Looker to build dashboards that are structured around the KPI’s you want to measure. We build graphically-rich reports using graphs, charts, and custom visuals so you can easily understand the story that your data is telling you.
